Q: I have a 2001 Eclipse GT. I currently don't have a roof rack what so ever on the car. I'm starting to look for a snowboard rack to go on it for the winter. I figured if I look during summer I might get it cheaper.
Does anyone know of any racks
A: Thule or Yakima are the biggest manufacturers of racks. everything is modular. It's expensive to set up initially, but once you have it they work great. Some parts are universal, such as the crossbars or the legs, some parts are car specific, such as
It's the thule #91725 flat top, which I hear is a very popular ski/snowboard rack. I'm wondering if it would it on my 2003 honda civic (2door), and also if anybody who bought the rack before could tell me if the mounting was difficult or not. Thanks!
One of the most important items needed for snow mobile backcountry access is the snowboard rack. Pretty much all the pro snowboard realm heavies are using some version of this rack. It sure beats the hell out of sitting on your board or having it bouncing around in some backpack containment system. Especially, if you are like me, and are an utter mess at controlling a snowmobile. It’s one less thing for you to worry about while you’re trying to steer a “couch” around in steep uphill powder.
I'm thinking of purchasing an used Yakima snowboard rack for my 2004 Honda Odyssey which was used by 2007 Honda Odyssey. Are they comparable?
