Q: My wife and I recently bought snowshoes, and she thought it would be a good idea to use poles to begin with. She is a big skier and is going to use her ski poles, but I do not ski and was wondering if they make specific poles for snowshoeing? If so, what
A: ski poles are regularly smaller than snow shoe poles but it dosen't really matter that much it might be smart to use the ski poles she has because thre isn't a big differance but i guess for you what ever is cheapest
I bought my ski poles last season (in a rush) and after about 2 runs noticed that they were about a couple inches too short for my liking.
Is there someway I can make them taller? Maybe take the top grip off - somehow - without ruining
Skiing is great fun. If you live near a ski resort, you are privileged to have access to one of the greatest recreational winter sports available. Many resorts offer season passes for their lift tickets so that makes skiing a very affordable hobby as long as you own your own skis. Many times you can find deals on skis that allow you to purchase your own used skis for little more than you would pay for one rental of skis.
One place you may find some great deals is at your community ski swap. You may find skis that are more than adequate for your needs at a very low price.
The problem with purchasing skis for children is that they continue to grow. Used skis make the best option for them and they can be traded each season to get the skis that are the correct size for the new season. Many times you will be able to sell last years skis and purchase this years skis with the proceeds.
For adults, who’s height and weight do not change as rapidly, there is the opportunity to find a great set of only used skis which are being sold simply because someone has upgraded to a newer model.
You may also find other deals at a ski swap meet. Keep an eye out for both ski poles and boots as you will need these for your new skis if you do not already own the right size. Make sure that the boots you purchase are the correct ones for your bindings. Also look for parkas as well as bibs or trousers that will keep you warm and dry as you enjoy the slopes.
In any sport, the proper equipment can have a remarkable impact on the quality of play. Golf is no exception. Playing with clubs that don’t fit your body, that are either too long or too short, or with inappropriate grips for your hand size can create more problems for a golfer than many players may even realize. Besides affecting a golfers game, the wrong clubs can cause aches and pains with overuse. Adjusting the way you play in order to be able to use a set of the wrong clubs for your body will do nothing to improve your game and will probably take away from your ability to enjoy it.

for me, i generaly see them speed more, and hit the rails and what not.
is there like a reason why they don't use poles? or just a prefrence? and is it looked down on or anything???
