just what I wanted
I bought 2 bottles for my boys to take to school every day with their lunch. At first I bought the pop up tops, but they did leak a little, so I came back and bought these tops and they work like a charm. My 8 year old has no problem opening them and they do Not leak at all!

Also works great with WaterU stainless steel bottles
I just recently picked up a WaterU Stainless Steel water bottle at Bed, Bath, and Beyond but didn't like the
"sport valve" that came with it. I just wanted a loop cap that would make it leakproof. I picked up this cap at the local REI and it fits great!

Better than the metal caps.
I bought a new KK water bottle, it came with a cheesy plastic cap. I was NOT happy. Where was my metal cap??? I even sent a scathing email to Klean Kanteen. (they replied immediately by the way)
It only took me one or two uses to realize I love them! So, I bought three more caps to replace all my metal ones.

It works fine
Not much to say about this cap except that it works! I bought several Kleen Kanteens with sport caps as gifts, then added these loop caps as alternatives for the recipients. Two things which are different from the caps on the older bottles: they are not as big or clunky, and the bottoms are hollow (instead of being sealed over).

Better than what came with my bottle
I like this cap better than the stainless/plastic one that originally came with my Klean Kanteen. This cap is simpler, all plastic (polypropylene, which has a fairly safe reputation at this time.) Easy to wash, goes through my dishwasher in the silverware basket with no problem.
While the original has the advantage of minimizing plastic contact with the water, it somehow gets water trapped inside it if washed in the dishwasher--but then it's very hard to get that water back out. Also the all-plastic flat caps I bought get water trapped inside them. But this cap seems to have a design with no place for the water to get trapped. Another reviewer complained about water getting trapped in this cap. Either
1) he has it confused with on of the other caps (flat top or stainless/plastic)
OR
2) they changed the design of this cap between when he bought his and when I bought mine
OR
3) I've just been lucky so far.
The one way I think this could be improved would be to have some sort of texture around the edge of the cap to make it easier to grip for tightening and loosening. As it is, the surface there is a bit too smooth; so if your hands are wet, weak, or greasy from hand lotion or fried chicken you kind of have to stick your finger through the loop to get leverage. (The flat-top plastic cap does have a texture there that makes it easier to grip.)

Customer Reviews
TERRIBLE
Just stated the swim portion of my triathlon training and began to notice that i would get water in my ears really bad. Bought these hoping to fix the problem but they didnt help at all. they worked for about the first 100 meters. Then i could feel water leeking in and they became loose. About 50 meters later i tried to push them in again and that didnt work. Just pushed water farther in my ear. I took them out and tried to re-fit them but since they had already taken the shape of my ear, they were not able to mold again. I will be buying a plug like the Aqua Sphere or Mack's. Dont waste your money just to be frustrated.

Great idea, if they stayed on...
I purchased a set of these to use while jogging and over half of them fell off on my first run, all but one circle fell off the next time. These are a great idea but they do not stick well on clothing. They would probably work best on plastic materials like helmets, water bottles, etc. It might help to sew them in place with a couple of stitches. Great idea though!

They Don't Stick!
I would give this product 5 stars if they actually stuck.
These are highly reflective. I bought them to attach to my running shoes. The first set fell off by the end of the second run even though I stuck them to a hard, smooth, flat area of my shoes. They appeared to stick well at first, but just disappeared during my runs.
So the next time, I hot glued them on. All the circles STILL popped off; the strips lasted slightly longer.
I can't imagine they'd stick to fabric (or anything else for that matter.)

Reflecter-iffic
They stick nice. Sturdy thick reflective tape. The only downside...kind of expensive for what they are.

Polar Strap Review
My first strap lasted a year which I think is good being in the water, salt and chlorine 4-5 days a week.

Polar T31 Replacement Elastic Strap
I returned this item because it was overpriced. By that I mean the strap was 5.00 but shipping and handling was 5 times the price of the strap!
