Product Description
Many accessories are available for Klean Kanteens. All caps and lids are interchangable with all sizes of Klean Kanteens and we only use non-leaching Polypropylene #5 (PP#5) in our caps and lids. Both the loop and flat caps have stainless steel bases to prevent plastic from coming in contact with your beverage.
The perfect companion for your Klean Kanteen reusable drink container, the Sports Cap fits the 12, 18, 27, and 40 ounce stainless steel bottles securely. The Sports Cap twists on and off and has a push and release valve, allowing you to drink on the go. Properly closed, the cap is spill resistant. The polypropylene #5 material is soft on the teeth and comfortable to drink from.

It (dosen't) Sucks
Its really hard to draw from. I don't like it and don't use it. The plastic tab you can put around the bottle to hold the cap on has sharp edges. I do not recommend buying this.

Good idea...not so good experience.
I like the fact that it is a spout but it is hard to use. Too difficult to get open and you have to suck for liquid to come out.

Don't buy it.
This seemed like a great idea. When I opened it, I noticed that the little cap that covers the spout smelled strongly of rubber. I figured that would improve after the dishwasher. However, when I started using it, I noticed a strange taste to the water. That little cap was making the water taste bad and it still smelled of rubber. It has now been through the dishwasher five times and I still can't put the cap on. Even just a few minutes is enough for it to affect the taste of the water. You can remove that little cover but it is meant to keep the spout clean and to prevent spills. So I went back to the cap the bottle came with and this cap sits in the dishwasher getting washed over and over and over...maybe some day I'll be able to use it.

Hard to keep clean
Great idea on paper, not dishwasher safe, very hard to keep the spot and under cap area clean. Whistles when you drink from it, too. Very disappointed in this product.

Great execpt..
It is splash proof but not leak proof. When you are carrying it, it is not going to slosh onto you, but if it tips over onto your car seat it will begin to spill. Other than that it is fine.

Bad cap
I love the Klean Kanteen insulated bottle, but this is a terrible cap. As the first reviewer noted, it's not leakproof at all. It's safe for the morning commute--Klean Kanteen artfully calls it "splashproof" on the company website--but for anything more arduous than taking potholes in the cupholder, the cap WILL spill. Stick with the regular cap until the company improves upon this one.

Does NOT have a stainless steel interior... BUMMER.
I carefully shopped around for a stainless water bottle with as little plastic as possible. I was totally sold on this cafe cap due to the description, which says "Stainless steel interior, polypro exterior allows a 100% stainless steel interior" but unfortunately in reality the entire lid is plastic. Big bummer.

It works well, but must be washed frequently.
Why listen to me? I carry two 64oz KKanteens of water into work with me every day, and switch this top between them as they are being consumed throughout the work day. I've owned this product for about a month now and use it 6 days a week.
It consists of two pieces: the base, and a disk shaped cover that inserts at the top that turns 90 degrees to either expose a drinking port, or obscure it. This is NOT spill-proof. If the container tips, fluid will spill out.
Drinking without spilling any on you is easy if you use the right techinique. No need to elaborate it here... try it with water first and you'll get it right after a few tries.
It works, BUT: There is a problem with this design. The rotating disk insert traps fluid between it and the base beneath it. If you do not frequently wash these parts with soap and water AND pop off the top so the area between them can dry, it will get a fetid smell to it as bacteria grows. The disk is not designed to be regularly removed from the base; I have to squeeze the plastic insert that holds it on and pop the thing off. I have a feeling that eventually, the part that holds the rotating disk on is going to break from doing this. I have no other choice though as it cannot dry out without being seperated. Once it does break it can still be used as a sipping lid with a hole that cant be closed.
This cap is easier to drink out of by far than having to remove and reattach the screw on lid the containers ship with but it could definitely be improved. I will be looking for another sippy-cup type lid for my Kleen Kanteens, but it wont be one of these the second time around.
Conclusion: Better than nothing but needs improvement.

It's a great solution to a great kanteen.
I just got my Klean Kanteen Wide Mouth Insulation Thermos and I ordered the CafГ© Cap at the same time. I am so glad I did. I love the Klean Kanteens but didn't like unscrewing and screwing every time I wanted a drink. This lets you drink hot or cold beverages at home, work or on the go.
One caveat, it is not leak proof and it not spill proof. I found that out yesterday when I moved my arm too quickly and found it covered with hot tea.
I also wish you could open and shut it with one hand but it's not enough to make me change thermoses.

Great idea, if they stayed on...
I purchased a set of these to use while jogging and over half of them fell off on my first run, all but one circle fell off the next time. These are a great idea but they do not stick well on clothing. They would probably work best on plastic materials like helmets, water bottles, etc. It might help to sew them in place with a couple of stitches. Great idea though!

They Don't Stick!
I would give this product 5 stars if they actually stuck.
These are highly reflective. I bought them to attach to my running shoes. The first set fell off by the end of the second run even though I stuck them to a hard, smooth, flat area of my shoes. They appeared to stick well at first, but just disappeared during my runs.
So the next time, I hot glued them on. All the circles STILL popped off; the strips lasted slightly longer.
I can't imagine they'd stick to fabric (or anything else for that matter.)

Product Description
The New Bottle that is changing it all starts its dominance of the bike bottle market with even more color options than ever. Rethink how you ride!. CamelBak has been the innovation and performance leader in outdoor hydration products since 1989
Step up to the podium while cycling with the CamelBak Podium bottle. In addition to the environmental benefits of using a refillable bottle, the Podium offers a number of physical benefits as well. The bottle is made of TruTaste polypropylene, which lets you taste your water and not your bottle. The interior, meanwhile, is lined with HydroGuard to inhibit the growth of bacteria that can cause odors, discoloration, or deterioration of the bottle surface. And in contrast to most water bottles, the Podium doesn't have a "bite-open, hip-slap-shut" valve. Instead, the Podium incorporates a Jet Valve, a revolutionary self-sealing valve that lets you sip from any direction or squirt water over your head on long rides. Made of medical-grade silicone, the Jet Valve also eliminates splatter on your bike frame or jersey. Other features include a high flow rate, a positive shut-off closure on the valve for leak-proof transport, and your choice of 21- or 24-ounce sizes.
About CamelBak
The CamelBak is the originator and world leader in hands-free hydration systems. The first CamelBak products proved extremely popular among mountain bikers and motocross riders, because it allowed them to drink without taking their hands off the handlebars. The product eventually began to cross over into other sports when scientific studies showed athletes drank more fluids and performed better when they wore a CamelBak. Since then, athletes from an ever-growing list of sports and activities use CamelBak hydration systems for their convenience and performance benefits. In addition to cycling, CamelBak offers hands-free hydration systems for hiking, running, snowboarding, and skiing. CamelBak is a privately held company headquartered in Petaluma, California.

The hygienic locking cap is good
No BPA: Important to me, but not unique. Most "bike shop" bottles I've seen, as well as the insulated Polar Bottle, are made of BPA-free LDPE.
Taste: I can't tell much difference as compared to LDPE bottles.
Twist-lock cap: By twisting a lever on the cap, you can open and close the nipple without touching it with your grimy hands.
Spill-proof:
(1) When the cap is closed tightly and the nipple is closed as just explained, the bottle won't leak even if squeezed.
(2) When the cap is closed tightly and the nipple is open, the bottle won't leak even if inverted, unless you squeeze it. The tradeoff is that it takes more force to squeeze this bottle than most, and less water seems to emerge from each squeeze. I did not like that aspect, so I pried/twisted off the nipple cover with the help of a chopstick, yanked out the small thin perforated diaphragm (again, with the help of a chopstick), and replaced the nipple cover. This is an irreversible operation, and defeats the open-nipple leak-proof feature, but it makes the bottle somewhat easier to squeeze and seems to deliver more water.
Hot weather: The bottle is not insulated. But the cap fits my Polar insulated bottle, and I use it that way to carry cold water on long rides. The cap does not fit my "bike shop" bottles.

Good idea, bad design
As many reviewers mentioned, this is a really poorly designed water bottle. Very stiff plastic, very hard to squeeze after riding for a couple of hours. Also, the diameter of the bottle doesn't fit many water bottle cages. I can't believe they didn't buy few of the popular cages out there and test the fit prior to releasing this design!

All Water Bottles Aren't Equal
I didn't like this particular water bottle. The nozzle is unique and pretty functional but the bottle itself is very stiff. I prefer a bottle that is more flexible. Flexibility makes it easier to use.

CamelBak Podium
I have been a serious road cyclist for 20 years. During that time I have used many and various water bottles. I use sport drinks such as Gatorade and Powerade while riding. Prior to purchasing the CamelBak Podium, all the water bottles leaked on my bike frame, and on the bottles themselves while riding. I've not experienced the CamelBak Podium leaking. The research and development that went into the design of this water bottle is much appreciated.
